O/o DC(MSME)
through MSME-DIs has taken up one/three days duration awareness – cum –motivational programmes on
ISO-9000 / ISO-14001 to sensitize the MSME units to adopt the ISO-9000
quality systems.

PROGRAMS ON ENERGY CONSERVATION.
Energy
conservation in Micro & SSI sector is pursued through programmes especially for power
intensive industries such as

and forging

Bakeries
(Bread & Biscuit)

Plastic
processing units
The
purpose of taking up energy conservation programmes is to make entrepreneurs aware
about the advantages of new techniques of energy conservation.
A well equipped “Energy Audit Cell” is functioning in the MSME-DI,
Jaipur rendering its service to the SSI units at nominal charges.

ASSISTANCE IN POLLUTION CONTROL
Programs on “Waste Minimisation and Cleaner production” in small
scale industries are conducted to assist the sector in over coming the problem
of pollution Funds for such program are provided by the Ministry of Environment
and Forests.
The stratospheric Ozone layer is being destroyed by human activity i.e.
by release of man made chemicals. The chlorine and bromine radicals destroy
Ozone leading to reduction of atmospheric Ozone concentration.
The Montreal protocol is a global agreement under the management of UNEP
for protection of Ozone layer which has been ratified by India in Sept. 1992.

SIDO to
implement ODS phase out programme through respective SISIs in case of SSI sector.
Registration

into effect from 19th July, 2000.
