ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMMES (EDPs)

The objective of the programme is to identify persons with entrepreneurial quality and to motivate them and to train them through a structured training course so as to enable them to set up their tiny and small scale industrial ventures with the assistance available from different agencies. The Institute conducts various product based EDPs (one month duration). The programmes gives information about procedures of setting up MSME and financial and management aspects and also provides practical demonstration about process of manufacture of the item.

Eligibility for EDP

.	Age between 18 and 35 years
.	Qualification Matriculate and above
.	Candidate belonging to SC/ST/Women are given preference & Concessions.
.	The Course fees varies for different programmes, location, duration etc.

MANAGEMENT TRAINING PROGRAMMES.

The basic objective of conducting MDPs is to improve the productivity and profitability of the existing entrepreneurs and developing new enterprises. The courses are designed and conducted in view the local conditions and needs of the target groups. The subjects covered include industrial management, specialised management subjects and techno-managerial subjects.

SKILL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME: The basic objective is to provide training to skilled workers engaged in the Micro & Small Scale Industries and to equip them with better and improved technologies of production. Workshop attached to Small Industries Service Institute organizes regular courses for development of Skills of persons employed in SSI units.

.	Machine shop practice: Duration 6 Months, starting every year in March & September, Fee Rs. 600/-, 50% Concession for SC/ST
.	Programming and operation on CNC machines such as wire cut, VMC-400,ZNC.
.	Tailor made programmes for supervisors and Foremen (Quality Control limits/fits &Tolerance, machine inspections & testing etc.)

COMPUTER TRAINING COURSES: A centre for excellence in Software training is operating at Institute premises. The centre offers high tech and professional training programmes designated to cater the requirements of SSIs.

.	Training programmes on Office Automation
.	Training programmes on Computers like Auto CAD 2000, Mechanical Desktop (MDT-5)

Training programme on Auto CAD 2000 is designed to provide knowledge on 2D/3D drafting, layers, matching, system library, layouts, where as the training programme on MDI-S is based on 3D modeling, material library, model rendering conversion from 3D model to 2 D drawing etc.
