| District Industrial Potentiality Survey Report provide information relating to the strengthen and weakness of the district including resources, infrastructure for industrial development, potential industries as also the existing industrial set up in the district. |

| Collection of statistics of SSI units |
| In order to construct the industrial index of production, statistical data in respect of certain selected units for 18 items out of reserved list of SSI Products are collected every month. In addition, also 2% units are covered in the survey as per guidelines and sample drawn by DC(MSME), New Delhi. |
| Sample Survey of Registered SSI Units |
| In order to assess the various industrial indicators, Census of small scale units are conducted periodically to meet the requirements of framing out Government Policy towards the SSI units from time to time. To determine the appropriate strategy of launching Census Programme, the sample survey of Registered Small Scale Industries is also carried out during the year ending March, 2000. The survey has been conducted for a total of 5,500 small scale registered units. |
| In order to assit the entrepreneurs to the product line industrial potentiality surveys reports are prepared which provides the information on potential industries of the area which could be set up exploiting locally available resources. |
