SCHEME OF INTEGRATED INFRASTRUCTURAL DEVELOPMENT (IID)

Pursuant to policy Measure for promoting and strengthening small, tiny and village enterprises a scheme of Integrated Infrastructural  Development (IID) including technological back up service for SSI in rural and backward area has been introduced in the country by the Govt. Of India, Ministry of Small Scale Industries from 7th March 1994.

  
Main objectives of the Scheme
 
To setup about 50 IID centres in backward / rural areas inthe country
To promote clusters of SSI & Tiny units
To provide common facilities & technological back up services
Creation / upgradation of infrastructural facilities
 
Financing Pattern
 
Total 50 IID centres at the cost of Rs. 250 crores.
Rs. 100 crores as grant froms central govt.
Rs. 150 crores from SIDBI as loan
Upto 5 crores per centre in Ratio of 2:3 (Centre & SIDBI)
 
In Rajsthan 4 IID centres at following places have come up and RIICO has been designated as nodal agency for these centres:

SANGARIA (JODHPUR)

NAGAUR

NIWAI  (TONK)

KALADWAS (UDAIPUR)
 

Technology Support : Technology support needed for IID centres will be provided by the following
 
SISI
NSIC
Research Centres
Common  facility service Centres entrusted to Industries Assn. or other Agencies
